How We Do It

Easy to Use App to Manage Your Pet's Services!
Easy Scheduling -- Add, update, and/or cancel pet services for your pet! You may view all upcoming visits/walks through the Time To Pet portal online or through the app.
Report Cards -- After each completed service, you will receive a report card that includes loads of pictures, an update on how your pet did, and the time of arrival and departure.
Messaging -- Easily get in contact with your sitter or a member of the management team through the Time To Pet app! It works like texting and keeps things all in one place.
Easy Invoicing -- You'll have the ability to view your invoices, make payments, and view all payment history.
Notifications -- Alerts will be sent when the walker/sitter arrive at your home, and when you receive a new message.
Clear Pet Care Instructions -- All of your pet's information will be in one place! In the Time To Pet app, you'll be able to manage your contact information, and care instructions for your furry loved ones.

FAQs

  1. Is a consultation required before starting services? Yes, it is for everyone’s safety & to ensure that we are the best fit.
  2. How far in advance may I book services? As far our as you’d like! The sooner you book, the better.
  3. Is the Fire Hydrant Team licensed, bonded, and insured? Yes! We are bonded through Pet Care Insurance, and we are insured through them as well. We are also insured through AmTrust and KennelPro.
  4. Can I have a discount for the more walks / visits I book? Yes, if you are able to pay at least three (3) months of services in advance, we will provide you a 10% discount on the final invoice.
  5. Are there any additional fees? Yes, we take pride in no-hidden fees. You may view all our fees here, and you may view all our policies here.

  2. Is there a minimum of walks I can book per week? Yes, we do require at least 2 walks per week.
  3. Something came up last minute and I need my dog cared for. Can Fire Hydrant help last minute? Is there an extra fee? There is no extra charge for last minute service requests, and we are able to come by if we have availability. Last minute requests are not guaranteed.
  4. Is dog walking available on major holidays? Our dog walkers are off on major U.S. holidays, but our pet sitters are available. Pricing may differ, and a holiday charge will be applied.
  5. We got home early, can I cancel my scheduled booking last minute? You may, but a credit nor a refund will be issued.
  6. Do you accept aggressive breeds? This depends greatly on a lot of factors. Book a call with us and we can chat.
  7. How should I give you guys access to my home? In our customer portal, Time To Pet, there is a section where you may detail out access instructions. If you have code to your door or garage, you may input that code under that section. If you have a key to access your home, we ask for you to have a lockbox so we may leave the key on your property. We can ALSO secure your key in our key safe, which will not include your home address on the label. Only your pet’s name.
  1. What is the minimum amount of days my dog may attend daycare? We require a minimum of two (2) days per week.
  2. Are evaluations required? What are they like? Yes, our evaluations are required and cost $25.00. This is for everyone’s safety and to make sure we are a good fit. Evaluations typically take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays midday. The appointment is about three (3) hours. The first half hour is typically when we address one another’s questions and for your dog to sniff out the place with you there. Then you will leave, and your dog is able to do their thing and we evaluate them for the next couple of hours.We are making sure that they feel comfortable, that they get along with the other dogs, how they react when you leave and to the surroundings.

    1. Pack walks

    5. Transportations if you reside within 0.75 miles of the daycare
    6. Reports cards with LOTS of photos
    7. Updates through out the day that are posted on Instagram (follow us at @firehydrantpetsittingco)
  1. What’s all included?
    1. A short walk that is GPS tracked
    2. Medications, if needed (no additional charge)
    3. Clean food and water bowls
    4. Fresh food and water provided
    5. Poop picked up in the yard
    6. Playtime
    7. House care (watering the plants, bringing in the mail, opening/closing curtains, turning on & off lights, light sweeping, wiping countertops, etc)
    8. LOTS of photos
  2. Is there a minimum of visits I need to book per day? Yes, we do require at least 1 visit per day for cats and dogs. This is for safety reasons, and to reduce the risk of the animals hurting themselves while no one is present. If you are having someone else come by, we will need written documentation of this for insurance purposes.
  3. How many maximum visits may I book per day?Β As many as needed between our business hours of 7:00am to 8:00pm.
